After your purchase has been approved, you will receive an e-mail with your valid subscription number(s). You will need this to install NetZoom 6, download shapes, and access Technical Support services. If you have not yet received your subscription number, or the one you received does not appear to be working, please  contact us. As a helpful tip, please keep your subscription number in a safe place for easy retrieval and do not share it with others.

If you ordered a Media Pack, you may either download the installation package or use the installation media provided. Use your subscription number and follow the instructions. This installation will also include the latest shapes included in your NetZoom library at the time of your purchase. You may use Smart Update to update your shape library at any time. As a Media Pack subscriber, you will also receive two updates to the shape library via DVD that will be mailed to the address you provided at the time of purchase.

Smart Update is included with all copies of NetZoom 6, and it is the quick and easy way to download shapes and keep your library up-to-date. You may select your entire library, or just the manufacturers and product lines you need. Either way, you can use Smart Update whenever and however many times you want throughout your subscription.

If you have NetZoom 5 or earlier versions, please view the system requirements to confirm that you have the correct version of Windows and Microsoft Visio to use NetZoom 6.

You are also probably accustomed to receiving shape updates either by DVD or manual downloads from www.AltimaTech.com. With NetZoom 6, you can receive updates to your preferred manufacturers and product lines whenever you want, right within NetZoom Smart Update. Or, you may install shape updates from DVDs if you purchased a Media Pack.

For users who are accustomed to and prefer using “classic” Visio-style stencils, NetZoom 6 allows you to use shapes in the same format by choosing this preference on the main NetZoom palette. However, using this mode will disable many of the advanced features and properties built into NetZoom shapes. To take advantage of all the state-of-the-art engineering that has gone into NetZoom shapes, we encourage you to keep this mode off. Either way, the choice is yours.

NetZoom 6 is designed and optimized for use with Microsoft Visio 2003. If you are using a previous version of Visio, you can still download and use NetZoom shapes in VSS style (see "Using Classic Visio Stencils").

Microsoft Office Research puts a world of information at your fingertips. NetZoom 6 is now integrated with Office Research, putting NetZoom’s entire stencil library at your fingertips as well. Now, you have the ability to access your NetZoom library in other Microsoft Office applications, and even other workstations. Whether you are at the office or working off-site, all you need is your subscription number, giving you instant access to the NetZoom stencil library whenever and wherever you want.
